Welcome to Kalkaska Floral & Gifts on the Web! I am Lauri Forbes, and I have owned and operated this business for the past twenty two years in the same location, right in the heart of downtown Kalkaska, Michigan. I have more than 28 years of floral experience. It has always been my passion to be creative and this business allows me this luxury. I feel extremely blessed to have had so many years doing what I love.
We are not just your normal floral shop. We carry gift items such as fragrances for your home from Claire Burke, Faroy candles to lamps, throws, garden plaques and wind chimes. For the kids we carry American Girl dolls, Webkinz and Ty Beanies.
I always look forward to a good challenge. I would love to create something truly unique and different for your home of office. Just give me the colors and a description of your décor and I will then be able to design a one of a kind piece for you. At Kalkaska Floral, we can meet all of your professional floral needs. From the happiest of life's moments like an indoor or outdoor wedding, prom or a new baby. To the saddest, such as the loss a loved one, we can provide everything from funeral sprays and wreaths to sympathy bouquets. Whatever the need may be, my staff and I are courteous, experienced and happy to help... no matter how big or small the order!
Over the past few years, we have really expanded. We recently added a scrapbook section and can also do wonderful custom embroidery... so now we are like 3 stores in one! Of course both new sections can bring out anyone's creative side. If you are new at scrapbooking, we can help you come up with ideas to get you started. In our embroidery section we can do anything from the logo for your business to a simple name on a jacket. One of our customer's favorite things to make is our grandma shirts. It has Grandma or Nana across the crest with adorable stick kids all around it with your grandkids name under it. To see an example, click here to visit our embroidery page.
In the short period of time we have had the machine, we have collected over 7000 different designs. Speaking of designs we can also take your design or picture and have it digitized and then sew it on a shirt or jacket or whatever you wish. We also just started silk screening.
